The Living History Project (Real people. Real stories. Real Malaysia.) is a community venture by Seeing Eye Arts.

Introducing Malaysia’s first digital museum, The Living History Project. Our mission is to empower the unsung heroes of Malaysia – preserving their stories and contributions for posterity. We offer a community-driven platform that champions diversity and inclusivity, capturing the voices of both ordinary Malaysians and key figures in our national history.

Our vision is to be a living archive that inspires a sense of shared identity for future generations, fostering mutual respect and understanding.

POSITION

Are you a born networker with an insatiable drive for social impact? We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Community Relations Director to act as the beating heart of our team. You will forge alliances, foster relationships and make history come alive!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be the voice of the community: actively introduce and advocate for the The Living History Project with NGOs, government institutions and various associations
  • Build lasting alliances: create powerful collaborations and partnerships that amplify our mission and reach
  • Ignite passion: cross-promote activities that will inspire and engage, leaving an indelible mark on all involved
  • Expand our impact: seek and seize opportunities to enrich our collection, broaden our scope and deepen our connection wit the community

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • Prior experience in community relations, preferably within the cultural or non-profit sector
  • Outstanding communication skills–both written and verbal
  • A born connector with the ability to inspire and mobilize people
  • Interest in journalism, history, community, or social affairs
  • Previous experience in content creation or digital marketing

Remuneration: RM4,000 – RM6,000
Location: KLCC, Kuala Lumpur/Work from home
Working hours: 10am-5pm, Mondays to Fridays
